Tom Tom Map Share service helps avoid London travel disruptions

The 28th of July is being considered the most disruptive day for driving in and about London due to a reported 9,000 road changes taking place for the Games. Tom Tom Sat Nav is assisting their customers by helping them avoid such chaos via its Map Share service, which is also available to customers who use it on their iPhone. They have worked with map experts to provide daily details regarding planned road changes and these will be available free of charge to their customers. According to Tom Tom's recent press release, "After 6pm every single day, sat nav users will be able to download the following day's road changes to their navigation device and reset any changes no longer required from the previous day." I have no plans to travel to London during the next few weeks, as I am sure it will be the cause of many headaches and frustration. We are lucky that we do have modern technology such as sat nav's and portable media devices at our disposal. I remember my parents armed with only a paper fold out map on our holidays and having to stop at service stations for directions and a pay phone. Things sure have come a long way since then.
