The new Peugeot Partner van, now with 100% electric drive train

If responsible mobility is the direction some businesses are said to be steering their fleets towards, then the influx of new electric vans being released this year is sure to set them on the right track. The latest eco-friendly electric van to go on sale soon here in the UK is the new 100% electric version of the Peugeot Partner van. The new Partner Electric, due for UK launch on 23 rd May 2013, is said to be aimed at all business users wishing to reduce their environmental footprint and fuel expenses and was first presented at the Brussels Motor Show in January. This van does seem to have very practical features, including the potential for a quieter ride, and doesn't skimp when it comes to the all-important load space either. The load volume is up to 3.3m 3 on the L1 with a load length of 1.80m, a payload of up to 636kg and a GVW of 2,225kg. Peugeot have announced the debut of their Crossover design that they describe as modern, stylish, practical and very capable.  The new crossover by Peugeot is the first vehicle produced by the Marque that was designed and developed simultaneously by several international markets. Peugeot capitalises on its expertise with the 2008, acquired with the success of the award-winning 3008 Crossover, to create an innovative vehicle for the B segment. Peugeot offers environmentally friendly Partner Electric van

In a recent press release, Peugeot has announced a new addition to its popular Partner van range. The new Partner van will be 100% Electric. This means it will now be possible for business owners and drivers of this electric vehicle to enter low emissions restricted zones. The new Partner Electric comes in 2 lengths: 4.38m and 4.63m and as it is modelled after the original Partner, you will still get a great amount of load space and the Partner Electric operates on two high-energy lithium-ion battery packs with a capacity of 22.5kW/h. It has two charging modes for its battery: a normal charge (up to 16A) in 6 to 9 hours and a fast charge (up to 125A) allowing recovery of 80% of the capacity of the batteries in only 30 minutes.
