The new Citroen Relay van, which begins delivery on 01 July, is expected to be priced from £19,405 for the lead-in Relay 30 L1H1 HDi 110 6-speed manual. That price is only slightly higher than the previous model, but will include a host of new features and a wide choice of factory-built variants. The new Relay will sport stylish high-mounted headlights, a striking new grille and chevron design as well as a large, multi-piece front bumper to minimise accident damage and reduce repair costs, and not to mention, the new Relay’s body structure will incorporate multiple-point reinforcements to improve rigidity and durability. Did you know that Citroën is the only manufacturer in the UK to offer LCVs fitted with stolen vehicle tracking as standard. Just recently Citroën announced a big milestone when a Berlingo van had become the 100,000th Citroën LCV to be fitted with a unique Teletrac telematics package. The Citroën Teletrac package includes:  Smartnav satellite navigation and Trackstar stolen vehicle tracking. This specially developed package is standard in all Berlingo, Dispatch and New Relay panel vans. Citroën says its unique Teletrac Smartnav package saves the equivalent of circa 20,000 working days per year due to congestion avoidance. Drivers can also use the emergency call system function to call Teletrac’s control centre, allowing two-way voice communication.  Smartnav Personal Assistants handle some 40,000 routing and other queries, including emergency calls. Citroën has announced the arrival of a new Relay range. More information and full details are to be released at the upcoming Commercial Vehicle Show (Birmingham NEC, Hall 5/Stand no. D40, April 29 – May 1 2014).  Citroën says we can expect to see a choice of panel vans, chassis cabs, chassis crew cabs and back-to-back cabs. Plus these will be offered in a variety of gross vehicle weights, with a range of low emission, fuel-efficient HDi diesels. And that’s not all the New Relay range will include. There will be ready-bodied Specialist Models, such as dropside trucks, tippers and Luton vans – and a full range of Ready-to-Run conversions too. The popular Citroën Berlingo van pulled off a hat trick, as the small van of choice for many hard working individuals and fleets was crowned with its third Fleet Van ‘Small Van of the Year’ award at a ceremony in London. As of this month, one of the UK’s best-selling small vans will get an upgrade, as Citroën produces a Berlingo van to remember. The enhancements to the much loved LCV range, which are now being rolled off the production line as we speak, include improvements to its fuel economy, emissions reductions, and exterior changes such as a new gearbox and more in-cab storage. The latest Euro NCAP results are in. How did the new Citroën C4 Picasso and the Honda CR-V fare? Astonishingly well. Both vehicles scored an impressive 5 star overall rating from Euro NCAP testers. To help motorists choose the safest model when buying a new car or van, Euro NCAP organizes crash-tests then provides a realistic and independent assessment of the safety performance of many popular vehicles in Europe. The criteria for the overall safety rating are composed of scores in four areas which include: adult protection, child protection, pedestrian protection and safety assist. In the Small Off-Road 4x4 category the Honda CR-V 2.2 diesel SE, RHD 5-door hatchback model, used during testing, performed exceptionally well in the adult occupant segment scoring  a whopping 93%. After last month’s CV Show debut, the new Citroën Relay 30 L1H1 e-HDi 130 and Relay 35 L3H2 e-HDi 130 Stop & Start 6-speed manual vans are now on sale. With a slogan reading "ready for anything" and " Relay is up to the job", the launch of these new Citroën Relay models will make a hat trick of Stop & Start equipped LCV models on sale in the UK from Citroën (Nemo, Berlingo and Relay). Pricing was announced at a starting rate of £19,660 for the new Relay 30 L1H1e-HDi 130 Stop & Start 6-speed manual van and the Relay 35 L3H2 e-HDi 130 Stop & Start 6-speed manual van is priced at £24,660 (Basic R.R.P.) A fantastic endorsement for the Citroën Berlingo, Citroën Commercial has announced that the Environment Agency (EA) has just bought 31 Citroën Berlingo HDi 90 manual L1 850 Enterprise vans as part of its commitment to reduce the carbon footprint of its LCV fleet. The EA will operate its Berlingo vans for a minimum of five years. The EA - an agency within the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) - is allocating its 31 Berlingo vans to staff involved in flood defence and maintenance work, as well as to EA specialists carrying out environmental management monitoring. To meet individual user requirements, the EA has worked with racking specialist Bri-Stor to develop a number of internal racking layouts and equipment specifications. Bri-Stor is fitting the Berlingos with its latest high tensile steel racking (which is up to 45% lighter than the system previously supplied to the EA), white polycarbonate load area lining and roof light bars, while the users get a choice ...

Citroën Berlingo Electric has made its UK debut at the recent CV Show that took place from April 9-11, 2013. This vehicle is not just for the environmentally conscious green consumer, but has a wider appeal to any business looking for more economic sense in their van fleet options. Citroën has many years experience with electric LCVs, beginning with the first generation Berlingo Electrique van launched in 1998. The Berlingo Electric has a total lithium ion battery capacity of 22.5kWh and since it was designed to be an electric vehicle from the outset, its load compartment space is not reduced by battery intrusion. Citroën Commercial has proudly posted news about a rather large order they have recently received from Tees Valley based Social Housing Association, Vela Group. The amazing order requested from the supplying dealer, Springfield Citroën Gateshead, was for 137 vans and cars to replace the bulk of Vela Group's 200-strong vehicle fleet. The sought after vehicles comprised of; 120 Citroën Dispatch L2 1200 vans made up of HDi 90 H1 and HDi 95 H2 versions, plus eight Citroën Relay 35 L3 H2 HDi 130 vans, a Nemo 1.3 HDi Stop & Start EGS 660 LX van, three C3 VTR+ HDi 70 manual cars and a pair of C-Zero electric cars. Yet more sneak peeks and news of exciting unveiling's taking place soon at the upcoming 2013 Geneva Motor Show have arisen this week. This time Citroën announced that the world premiere of their newly restyled C3 is to commence at the March motor show. The C3 model originally launched in 2002 and has since gone on to see sales reach nearly 3 million. Not bad for the French compact supermini. Citroën has given the C3's exterior a makeover of sorts by restyling the front end to create a new ‘face’ with updated chevrons and bumper-mounted LED daytime running lights, new tail light clusters, and offering a new Ink blue body paint which now expands the range’s palette to a total of nine colours available to choose from. Citroën has announced that they are fitting the C1 Connexion special edition with a telematics ‘black box’ as standard. In an effort to help bring down the cost of insuring a new vehicle, the Smartnav system, provided by Trafficmaster, allows Citroën to offer free insurance for the first year of ownership to all eligible drivers from 19 - 75 years of age when the car is funded with Elect 3 or Elect 4 finance. The Citroën insurance included in this offer is free for qualifying young drivers subject to two years No Claims Discount (NCD). With the fitment of the telematics unit, Citroën is also able to offer heavily discounted cover to drivers with zero or just one year’s NCD. For example a 19 year old with no NCD can insure a new C1 Connexion with Citroën Insurance for just £950. Another exciting unveiling is happening at the 2012 Hanover Motor Show in Germany, which runs from September 18 to 27, 2012. Not only will Peugeot be showcasing the all-electric Partner van, but its twin, the new Citroën Electric Berlingo will join in on the fun as well. Besides both being unveiled at the Hanover Motor Show, they will run on the same 22.5 kW/h batteries and be available sometime in 2013. I stumbled upon this interesting story about a Citroën car designed by members of the public via a social networking site. Citroën C1 Connexion special edition, devised from an app which was created in collaboration with Facebook, has now been revealed. According to their latest press release, Citroën says "The C1 Connexion is the first production car in the UK created from an app which was created in collaboration with Facebook." Thousands of configurations were submitted through Citroën’s Facebook Page and the best one was chosen to come to life. Even the name badge featuring on the car was designed by a Citroën Facebook fan. You can buy the C1 Connexion now with 3 or 5 doors, priced at £9,495 and £9,845. Citroën has released details of their new enhanced Enterprise van range. Starting in August Citroën will boost availability of these new optional Enterprise Packs on Berlingo LX, Berlingo XTR+, Dispatch and Relay panels vans. Starting at £600 plus VAT, Enterprise Packs will include rear parking sensors, Connecting Box (Bluetooth® & USB port) and air conditioning. Buying the pack would constitute a savings of about £420 plus VAT if purchased separately.
