BMW has just published a new press release announcing that they will be offering new engines and options across its 1 Series and 3 Series ranges. BMW 1 Series The BMW 1 Series will now offer the BMW 114d, a 1.6-litre version of the four-cylinder diesel engine with TwinPower Turbo technology, has a maximum output of 95hp with a peak torque of 235Nm and accelerates from zero to 62mph in just 12.2 seconds, going onto a top speed of 115mph. The new BMW 114d is available to order now on both the 3-door and 5-door variants. Prices for the BMW 114d are to be revealed at a later date. BMW 3 Series Saloon The BMW 3 Series Saloon will be available with a more efficient petrol engine to date, the BMW 320i EfficientDynamics, a 1.6-litre TwinPower Turbo petrol engine, which generates 170hp and 250Nm of torque, yet delivers 53.3mpg and emits just 124g/km CO 2 . BMW is expecting thousands of daily visitors to its Olympic Pavilion at London 2012 and will be showcasing a variety of their newest business and low-emissions company cars. The multi floor layout will display current and future BMW cars on the rooftops and the lower floor will provide interactive exhibits. It will be an opportunity to explore BMW's transport views for the future. BMW is to hold its very first UK Z-fest this summer. The event will be organised by the official BMW Car Club GB in honour of their 60th anniversary. BMW Z-Fest will take place within the Silverstone Classic on July 20-22, 2012."Every year more and more car clubs choose the Silverstone Classic to celebrate major milestones in their history and the promise of more than 500 BMW Z cars parading around the circuit in July is sure to be a major highlight," said Silverstone Classic event director Nick Wigley. The BMW car club announced that hundreds of Z1's, Z3's, Z4's, and possibly a few Z8's will be on display during the event.  With a funfair, music from Mike & The Mechanics and Adam Ant, this event will be a fantastic weekend for not only BMW enthusiast, but the whole family too. Its’ concept was originally debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2012. The target audience will most likely appeal to small commercial businesses looking to add a touch of style to their motoring needs.
