Are men or women better at parking?

Auto Express online posted a fun video on their website challenging men and women to a parking contest. Filmed at Welcome Break’s London Gateway services on the M1, BSM driving instructor Gary Lamb put a handful of men and women through a simple yet specific parallel parking task. The efforts of both men and women were a mixed bag of skill, hilarity, and some were downright cringe worthy for me to watch, as a few of the ladies lacked confidence in their ability to manoeuvre or park the Kia Cee’d into a bay. The video was in response to German mayor of Triberg, Gallus Strobel, allocating easier parking spaces to women, as he felt men were better able to park in more challenging spaces. So, did the video prove the German mayor correct, or have the women of Britain triumphed and shown him that we are just as capable (or even more so) as men when it comes to parking?
