mia: the 100% real electric car

The mia electric car is a refreshing addition to the electric car market. It has all of the attributes that make electric cars so popular in urban areas, for instance; it's compact, economical, yet still maintains some semblance of style. No tricks, no gimmicks, no fancy packaging, or quirky design is needed; its simplicity is what makes this an ideal electric car. Having low to zero emissions is a crucial component when selecting an electric car, especially if you live in a large city where congestion charges are an economic concern. The mia is a common sense car, as it has zero emissions and a range of up to 125 km. You can zip around town, take the children to school, or head off for a weekend drive with this roomy 100% electric car. The driver’s seat is uniquely positioned front and centre to offer a panoramic view, although this means that there is no placement for a front passenger seat. The back passenger seats come in two seating arrangements. In the standard mia, the 2 individual seats are positioned behind either side of the driver, so passengers can enjoy an unobstructed view through the front window or you can opt for the more traditional family three seat bench style if you purchase the mia L model. It also comes standard with side sliding doors on both sides. This feature is very useful when having to park in narrow spaces, loading the car after a shop, and even more convenient for strapping children and car seats in.

The mia is powered by an asynchronous electric engine with a power of 18kW (24bhp) with a maximum torque of 58Nm and max speed of 100km/h. You can choose from either an 8kWh battery that offers autonomy of 80km, or choose a more powerful 12kWh battery which will increase the mia's range to 125km. The mia can be plugged into charge in any 220V and 16A socket and takes only 3 hours to charge the 8kW battery and just 5 hours for the 12kW battery. If you simply want to partially charge or need a quick 10 minute charge (provides a range of 8km) you can easily do so, as there is no memory effect for lithium iron phosphate batteries. There is no gearbox, you simply turn the key, press the direction of travel button, and off you go; making this another good reason to consider this compact good natured electric car. Easy driving, easy parking, easy charging, the mia is a good all around electric car and is not strictly limited to just the greener living audience. The mia may seem to be yet another car being thrust into the electric eco-friendly market; however, it does have a lot to offer now and in the future. With its thoughtful detail and design, showing consideration for a wider range of drivers, that is what places the mia ahead of the rest.
