Nissan recalls UK-built Qashqai

AM (Automotive Management) online has recently reported that Nissan is recalling around 48,000 Qashqais cars worldwide. 7,000 of these Qashqais are in the UK. The recall is due to a fault that could result in drivers losing control of the steering. The fault affects all owners of Nissan Qashqai and Qashqai+2 models made at Nissan’s Sunderland UK plant between 27 February and 16 May 2012. The AM online short article also provides a video (in Finnish) of a driver in Finland who filmed the fault found in his car. To read more about the fault and to view the video, please click here.
