'Take the pledge’ that could save your life

TyreSafe has announced that it has launched a potentially life-saving pledge on its Facebook page, designed to help keep drivers safe on the roads this winter. The article can be found on their media centre page titled, "Take the pledge’ that could save your life". The pledge asks its participants to promise to take 'the 20p pledge', meaning they will commit to check their tyre tread depth using a 20p coin within the next seven days. After they take the pledge, Facebook will share the information with all of the participants’ friends, hopefully encouraging them to also take up the tyre check pledge. It's a fairly easy test to perform yourself, so even if you do not want to take the pledge on Facebook, you can still make sure your vehicle is safe on the road this winter by taking a few minutes to check your tyres with a simple 20p coin.
