Fiat Professional named GreenFleet's LCV Manufacturer of the Year 2012

Fiat Professional has just been named LCV Manufacturer of the Year at the 2012 GreenFleet Awards. These awards, now in its 14th year, were held at the Emirates Stadium, in London last week. The GreenFleet Awards recognises the pioneering adoption of low and zero emission transport and advances in green transport technology.

"In terms of producing very efficient engines in light commercial vehicles, Fiat Professional has found something quite special. Add to that the technology to assist the driver and it's obvious why it is the 2012 GreenFleet LCV Manufacturer of the Year," said Colin Boyton, Marketing Manager, GreenFleet.

Fiat’s award-winning eco:Drive and its application for commercial vehicle drivers, eco:Drive Professional, are available on any commercial vehicle fitted with Blue&Me and helps drivers learn to use less fuel, thereby reducing CO₂ emissions and saving up to 15 per cent in running costs. Here's how it works; Drivers download eco:Drive to their computer, then by plugging any USB stick into the vehicle’s Blue&Me port allows acceleration, deceleration, gearshift and speed information to be saved onto it automatically. When the USB is plugged back into a computer, eco:Drive converts the data into facts and figures such as mileage, CO₂ emissions and money saved.
