MOT certificate must now record mileage

Automotive Management (AM) online has just posted a short article reporting that VOSA, the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency, has announced a big change to MOT certificate requirements. The article titled, "VOSA reveal MoT changes", provides information from the RMI National Franchised Dealers Association, which says that as of November 18, 2012, the MOT certificate must now record the mileage of a vehicle for the current test, as well as the mileage recorded on the last three certificates. This will hopefully deter or reduce vehicle clocking and provide used car buyers with more accurate details on the history of vehicles they purchase.
