Real-time service bookings for Audi customers

Audi has recently announced their foray into online service bookings and have gone a step further by offering customers servicing and MOT requests in real-time and confirming appointments almost immediately.

Audi outline the benefits of this new service by saying that customers can "forget about opening hours, busy service departments and congested phone lines when they want a service or MOT appointment, or even just a replacement tyre. The online system facilitates booking of a range of appointments, including major and minor services, complimentary health checks, MOTs, tyre replacements, general investigations and diagnostics. It also offers various mobility preferences for convenience, including courtesy car booking, collection and delivery, courtesy lift arrangements, while-you-wait services and the option to select the Audi Cam video-based diagnosis service".

This service follows hot on the heels of Audi's other tool aimed at delivering unparalleled customer service, the Audi Cam. It enables Audi Centre technicians, equipped with video cameras to film diagnoses and beam the resulting clips, along with an estimated price for the necessary job highlighted, to owners' computers and smartphones before work begins. Now that is what I call convenient servicing. Why can't my garage provide such awesome service? And better yet, why don't I drive an Audi?

Anyhow, the online service booking tool couldn't be easier to use. Simply visit the Audi website, click on the owners area tab, select you nearest Audi centre, choose the service required, pick from a range of dates/times available, your selected choices will be booked for you, and a confirmation is displayed including a booking reference number and an estimated total cost for the work booked. And even more useful, this price is confirmed by the Centre by either email or text.
