Fiat launches humorous new fatherhood YouTube film featuring the Fiat 500L

In case you missed it last week, Fiat has launched a new YouTube film that tells the no-holds-barred truth about life as a new Dad. After Fiat's popular The Motherhood film, Welcome to the Fatherhood follows a weary Dad-of-two trying to get his screaming babies to sleep by driving them around the neighbourhood. As he drives, he starts to sing about his long-lost youth and questions how he’s gone from Jack the Lad to Jack the Dad.

If you haven't seen either family film, you can find them on Fiat UK's YouTube channel and they are humorous insights into what goes through the minds of new parents. You may not be able to relate to them yet if you've not got kids, but if you like Fiat's modern vehicles or just fancy watching something funny set to an 80's style track, then click here to view The Fatherhood.

The car featured in the film is the Fiat 500L, the newest addition to the Fiat 500 family. With five doors and 400 litres of boot space, the Fiat 500L is substantially bigger than the Fiat 500 but shares the smaller car’s iconic looks and numerous personalisation options. It's available with a choice of four low emissions engines (Euro 6 petrol and Euro 5+ diesel), with Start&Stop as standard on TwinAir and MultiJet engines. The full engine line-up comprises the award-winning TwinAir 0.9-litre petrol (105hp), 1.4-litre 16-valve petrol (95hp), 1.3-litre 16-valve MultiJet diesel (85hp) with manual or MTA transmission and flagship engine, the 1.6-litre 16-valve MultiJet diesel (105hp). Making it the perfect choice for young stylish parents who want an attractive car that works for their new family.

The new Fiat 500L range starts at £14,990 for the 1.4 petrol Pop Star or Easy, rising to £18,890 for the 1.6 MultiJet Lounge. But if you're not quite ready for a family car just yet, don't forget that Fiat also have a great commercial vehicle range like the Ducato, Doblo, and Scudo vans for transporting any number of fun things, like maybe your rock band’s music equipment or your fishing gear. Enjoy it while it lasts because if the suggestions from The Fatherhood are anything to go by, once the kids arrive, you'll need that smoother running quieter family car to help you live a smoother quieter life.
