Gibson and Nissan work together to create a rockin' new van

If you are a musician, are in a band, or just love really cool vans, then you are going to be amazed by the new NV200 Compact Cargo van that will be unveiled on March 27 at the New York International Auto Show.

I read a post on Motor Trends TRUCK TREND website about the new Gibson NV200 Repair and Restoration Van made by Nissan. It is a collaboration between Nissan and the famous Nashville, Tennessee based guitar and instrument manufacturer in America, Gibson. Its purpose is to serve as an extension of Gibson's Repair and Restoration shop so musicians in the area playing gigs at festivals, in studios, or live shows can get quick access to repairs. Gibson also sees it as an educational tool to the public, as it can teach them about the art of guitar building and repair. The van will be stocked with everything needed to repair guitars and is painted with a beautiful rich mahogany guitar on the side of the van and includes rich leather seats on the inside.

The NV200 sold in America isn't just for musicians or bands. Small businesses could also make use of the 122.7 cubic feet of cargo space behind the front seats and the van can carry up to 1500 pounds of payload for all matter of uses. This new version of Nissan's NV200 van is powered by a 131-hp, 2.0-liter inline-four with a CVT and promises some decent fuel mileage.

It looks to be a pretty awesome van from the description and photos that accompanied the article. To view the photos and to read the full article titled "Keep Rockin' on the Road" by Allyson Harwood, please click here to be taken to the feature on TRUCK TREND's website.
