A Black Box

Insurance prices are higher than ever, and this is especially apparent for young drivers, with some having to annually pay upwards of £6,000.
An effective way to bring the price of insurance dramatically down is with the introduction of a black box. It gives young drivers the opportunity to prove their ability to drive safely, and thus reducing their premiums by as much as £500.

Scissor Jack and Wrench
Almost everyone at some point in their life falls victim to car related issues, however young drivers in particular are historically known for having cars that break down more regularly.

One of the most common problems a young driver might face, is a punctured tyre. However, with a scissor jack, wrench and some careful research, a young driver can learn to change their own tyre if needs be, and avoid having to calling and waiting for a breakdown vehicle.

Personalised Car Mats

For young drivers lucky enough to own their own car, arguably one of the best parts about this experience is the satisfaction of knowing that it is personal to you.

One great way to add something different to a young person’s car, is with personalised car mats. These mats can have the driver’s name inscribed, to really give the car that personal touch.  The mats aren’t too expensive either, with prices usually ranging around the £20 mark.

Dash Cam

With insurance prices higher than ever for young people, the last thing a young driver wants is a claim on their insurance, especially if they were not at fault for the accident. James Noble, the founder of MyFirst Insurance, believes that young drivers are often unfairly blamed for accidents.

An introduction of a dash cam can help to prevent young drivers being falsely accused of accidents they did not cause. There is also evidence to suggest that dash cams help to instil safer driving habits, in young people.
