Image
You never truly finish learning how to drive. There’s a lot you’ll learn on the roads that a driving instructor can’t teach you. However, there are some little things you can do to make the transition from driving lessons to driving alone much easier. We’ve got 5 tips for new drivers that will help to boost your confidence and have a much smoother drive. This is the perfect time to make sure your seat is in the right position, the radio stations you’ll use are all programmed and your mirrors are facing where you need them to. Keep distractions to a minimum As you become more confident driving, you will find that less distracts you. However, you might want to be cautious when

ACT NOW to beat a Brexit price rise with Low Cost Vans

Brexit is coming. We don't know when and we don't know how, and the only thing which is certain is the uncertainty. The impact of a no-deal Brexit could see the price of a new van rocket by an estimated 10% of its on-the-road (OTR) cost. Which means the knock-on effect of additional tariffs and manufacturing costs could cost you an extra £125* a month on your leasing contract. But here's the good news. When it comes to the price of your vehicle, there's nothing to worry about if you ACT NOW. Low Cost Vans have stocked up ahead of any potential changes. Before you leave, it might be worth getting your car serviced before any long journey to prevent a breakdown. Even a few simple checks will do the trick – oil, water and fuel levels as well as tyre pressure. Start of the journey the right way – comfortably. Ensuring that your seat and steering wheel are adjusted properly will make the drive much easier. A higher seat can give the illusion that you’re driving slower – lower your seat if you can to make sure you don’t speed. If you can hang your wrists over the top of the steering wheel, your seat is in a good position. Sit up with a straight back and consider popping a pillow behind you to improve your posture. Wear loose clothing like jogging bottoms and a t-shirt i
