should try and go in your lifetime.
Pakistan – The Karakoram Highway
This highway is the highest paved road in the world, going
through the Karakoram Mountains. It’s the perfect place to drive if you want
beautiful views through a mountain range. The road also goes through villages
so you can see the culture of Pakistan.
Philippines – Patapat Viaduct
On Luzon Island in the Philippines, this mountain road is
surrounded by tropical scenery. There are some places to park so that you can
get that Instagram worthy shot by the sea. The country is growing in popularity
with tourists as locals are friendly and often speak English, as well as the
beautiful beaches.
South Korea - Ilju Road
Situated on Jeju island, this is a popular hotspot for local
tourists. It’s an island that is worth a visit whether you drive or not but a
road trip will allow you to take in far much more of the gorgeous scenery.
If you’re looking for an off-road driving experience, this
is one to consider. You may not see the tropical vegetation you see in other
countries but how often do you get the chance to drive through the desert? If
the car gets a bit stuffy, there’s the opportunity to continue your travels by
camel back.
Laos – Thakhek Loop
Want a road trip but don’t fancy driving a car? The Thakhek
Loop is perfect for motorcyclists! Enjoy the beautiful views through central
Laos and make sure to give yourself about a week to take it all in. There are
also plenty of caves and blue lagoons to stop at on the way!
