The best racetracks in the world
If you’re a racing enthusiast, you’re going to want to watch
races from the best tracks in the world. Maybe someday you want to be driving
on those tracks. We’ve got a list of racetracks that host some great races as
well as give you the opportunity to give them a go yourself!
If you’re looking for an amazing day out, this is the track
you want to visit. One of the oldest tracks in the Formula One World
Championship, it’s praised by professional drivers as a great track. Not only
can you watch huge events such as the Japanese Grand Prix, but you can drive on
the course yourself and finish the day by visiting the theme park that is a
part of the circuit.
Looking for something closer to home? The Silverstone
Circuit in Northamptonshire hosts the British Grand Prix and the fastest lap
completed on it was by Lewis Hamilton. There is plenty of opportunity to drive
on the same track as Hamilton, as they offer driving experiences for yourself
or to give as a present.
This circuit might not hold many major events but it’s
definitely a unique track. It does host one very famous event – the 24 Hours of
Le Mans, where drivers have to drive for 24 hours straight. Not all of the
track is private – the circuit goes across some public roads too. It’s one of
the longest circuits in the world and is open to the public before races.
Circuit of the Americas, USA
Home of the Formula One Grand Prix, this is a very young
track. They hold track days where you can drive the track yourself – however,
you’ll have to prove that you’re skilled enough to do so. Make sure to get some
practice in before tackling this one. It’s worth it though, because you’ll be
driving on the same track as some of the best.
While this isn’t a track used for major sporting events,
this is an interesting experience. To drive on this track will cost you a fair
bit of money, and to get good access you’ll need a membership. This private
track is perfect for any driving enthusiast and has a hotel, spa, golf course
and shooting range if you want something to do after a few laps.
