Low Cost Vans sponsor two of Wales' biggest horse races

Low Cost Vans teamed up with Chepstow Racecourse and Ffos Las Racecourse to sponsor two of the biggest events in the Welsh horse racing calendar.

First up was the Robert Mottram Novices’ Chase at Chepstow on October 12, a race which is known for attracting some of the most promising stars of the future. It proved to be a nail-biting contest, with Paddy Brennan emerging triumphant to scoop the £22,500 jackpot riding trainer Fergal O'Brien's Jarveys Plate.

Next up was the historic Welsh Champion Hurdle at Ffos Las, which formed a part of the Peaky Blinders-themed Gentleman’s Day on October 19. The whopping £50,000 prize money was claimed by Chester Williams, who was riding Monsieur Lecoq for his mother Jane.

Low Cost Vans' managing director Rod Lloyd said: "As a Welsh company we have long been involved with sport in Wales, from a grass-roots level to Premier League football. This was our first foray into horse racing sponsorship, and they were both fantastic events.

"The novices' race in Chepstow is one that always attracts high-quality entrants, and the Welsh Champion Hurdle at Ffos Las, with £50,000 up for grabs, was tightly contested and a very exciting race."
