Low Cost Vans employee recognised as ‘Industry Hero’

Joanne Humphreys, compliance director at Low Cost Vans (LCV), one of the UK’s leading providers of commercial vehicles for business users, has been recognised as an ‘Industry Hero’ at the BVRLA annual awards.

Held on 5th March at the London Hilton on Park Lane, the annual dinner is widely acclaimed as the most looked-forward to event on the rental and leasing industry calendar.

The awards celebrate ‘Industry Heroes’ who have made a significant contribution in their role and pays tribute to employees who work tirelessly to deliver excellence through their dedication and commitment.

Humphreys has worked at LCV for 10 years, starting out as a temporary member of the admin team. She quickly worked her way up to become a supervisor before rising to the position of compliance director in 2014.

Humphreys has been endorsed as an industry leader by funders including Lex and Alphabet and has advised the BVRLA regarding the FCA rulings.

Always keen to help raise standards, Humphreys has enabled LCV to be the pilot for multiple audits to set standards for other brokers, making LCV a focal point of good practice.

Joanne Humphreys, compliance director at Low Cost Vans, commented:

“I am extremely honoured to have been chosen as this year’s BVRLA Industry Hero but there is no I in team and I couldn’t do it without their help, so a massive thank you to everyone at the Low Cost Vans group.”

Rod Lloyd, managing director of Low Cost Vans, said:

“We are thrilled that Jo has won this prestigious award. It is recognition of her commitment to offering a premium quality service to customers, not only raising the bar within the company but helping to drive standards higher and ensure that others in the industry can learn from the good example she has set.

“With International Women’s day taking place on Sunday 8th March, Jo’s success was a great way to start the celebration of the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.”
