5 challenging roads you can drive on across the world

Image
Are you bored of driving round the same places day in, day out? Are you looking for something more challenging, which pushes your skills to the limit? We’ve compiled a list of some of the hardest roads to drive on in the world. Himalayan roads [ https://www.flickr.com/photos/indiauntravelled/6742591653/ ] Built right into the face of the mountains, these are considered some of the most dangerous roads in the world. Prone to floods and nasty weather conditions, these narrow and unpaved roads should only be tackled by a confident driver. If you do brave it, you’ll get to see some of the most spectacular views. Dalton Highway   [ https://www.instagram.com/p/Bq-9S7qHyVU/ ] In the chilly climate of Alaska, this 414 miles long road has 240 miles of pure scenery. There are no petrol stations or hotels on this stretch, just a long road and a view of the mountains. This would need very careful planning, but you won’t get this experience anywhere else. Skipper

5 countries you can drive to in a day

Image
Who said that a road trip abroad was a tricky task? There are plenty of countries you can take your own car to and have the adventure of a lifetime. You don’t have to drive for days to explore some of the most interesting cities Europe has to offer – here are some places you can drive to from London in a day or less. France https://driveeurope.co.uk/2014/08/20/road-works-a16-between-calais-and-dunkirk/ Depending on where you go, this could be one of the quickest journeys. If you want to stay around Calais, it’ll be a relatively short journey – however, if you want to go to Paris you may have to add in a few hours. It’s worth the drive, however, as France has lots of beautiful towns to visit. You’ll need a few things in your car if you do this drive – a breathalyser, a warning triangle and a reflective triangle are all required. You also can’t use any apps that show you where speed cameras are. Germany https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/germany

Promotional cars you didn’t even know existed

You’ve most likely seen a car with the whole exterior covered in company logos and colours – a promotional car. However, some companies go a bit further than just sticking some vinyl graphics over a normal car. We’ve got a list of the more whacky cars that have been used to promote companies. The Spam Mobile   https://www.flickr.com/photos/brent_nashville/143855978 You could catch this van travelling the streets of America giving out free samples of Spam. The van itself is shaped like a giant tin of spam, but if that isn’t enough then the inflatable tin of spam on the top is sure to get the message across. The Amazing Outspan Orange   https://www.flickr.com/photos/helensanders/5689867912/ Five of these little cars were made to advertise Outspan oranges, living in Britain, France, Germany and South Africa. It was based on the Mini and you could see it on the streets between 1972 and 1974. Cadbury’s Crème Egg Car https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/163
